Ajit Shah
Director / Adviser
Ajit has been with Duke Godley Financial Planning Ltd since 1994 and has worked in the Financial
Services Industry for over 30 years.
He started managing Duke Godley Financial Planning Ltd in 2004, and built a Financial Advisory
firm that provides a Holistic Financial Planning. Ajit advises on Investment and Retirement
planning and specialises in later life planning.
Ajit is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a holder of the Diploma in Financial
Planning. He also trained as an accountant and is involved in a children’s charity providing
voluntary work.
He has a caring attitude and helps clients through various life changing events such as losing
a partner or client effected by critical illness and helping them manage the wealth to ensure a
healthy financial future. He also acts as a pension trustee, with a particular interest in investment
strategy.
Away from taking care of business and clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, loves
playing cards and reading books. He is an Arsenal supporter and a keen cricket follower. He can
communicate well both in English and Gujarati with clients.
Shital Gohil
Adviser
Shital joined Duke Godley Financial Planning Ltd in 2000, and has been in the Financial Services
Industry since 1993.
Qualified as a Protection Adviser in 2002, apart from Life Protection cover, Shital advises on
Company Group Life and Protection Schemes. She covers a number of key areas including
compliance and client research and has an in-depth understanding of client needs.
Shital took a keen interest when Auto Enrolment was introduced in 2012 and now looks after a
number of company schemes ranging from 10 to 500 employees.
Shital, who is often the first point of contact with the company, also oversees the administration
and implementation of clients’ portfolios. She also plays a role as a Paraplanner and assists the
Directors and Investment Advisers with the management of the clients.
Shital is a keen runner and trekker. She regularly takes part in charity events in the UK and abroad.
London Marathon, Mount Kenya, Stok Kagri, various half marathons are just a few challenges she
has done in the past. She recently attempted and successfully completed The National 3 Peaks
in 24-hour Challenge and climbed Mt Everest Base Camp in Nepal. She is a social bee, enjoys
spending time with her family and friends, she enjoys cooking and entertaining and is a good host.
Rupen Shah
Adviser & Wills Expert
Rupen has been in the financial service industry for the past 19 years. He joined Duke Godley
Financial Planning Ltd in 2012 when they acquired another Financial Services Firm.
Rupen has had various roles in the financial services beginning his career as an administrator
back in 2000, managing his own team of administrators and gradually developing his skills to
underwriting mortgages and obtained his qualification as a mortgage advisor.
At Duke Godley Financial Planning Ltd he started as a paraplanner and has recently achieved his
Diploma for Financial Advisers and he is now working towards obtaining his Chartered Status in
Financial Planning.
Over his career he has had several years of experience in technology developments which has
enabled him to understand the effects for the end user. He is always keen to look at new ways to
embrace technology.
Rupen is committed to meet the needs of the clients as well as building and maintaining good
customer relationships for the longer term whilst improving the client relationship journey.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his nieces & nephews, travelling to new and
interesting places, and he has taken up keen interest in focusing on his health & well being
